Meet the Artist
I'm Jeanette, the artist and founder of Benita Jean Studios.
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember—starting with comic strips in kindergarten and never really stopping. What began as a childhood passion grew into a lifelong pursuit of creating spaces that inspire connection, curiosity, and joy.
Born and raised in Utah, I developed an eye for the details that make environments memorable: color, texture, light, and the way thoughtfully designed spaces influence how people feel. That passion led me to study painting and drawing at the University of Utah before pursuing mural painting full-time.
Today, I partner with homeowners, businesses, contractors, designers, and community organizations to create custom murals that are thoughtfully designed and professionally executed. Whether it's a feature wall in a home, a commercial installation, or a large-scale public art project, every mural is tailored to the vision, goals, and character of the space.
My approach combines artistic creativity with the professionalism clients expect from a contractor. I believe in clear communication, organized project management, realistic timelines, and meticulous craftsmanship from concept through final installation. My goal is to make the entire process seamless—delivering not only exceptional artwork, but also a collaborative experience built on trust, transparency, and attention to detail.
At the heart of every project is the belief that art has the power to transform a space into something people remember. I'm honored to create work that leaves a lasting impression and reflects the people, businesses, and communities it was created for.

Before the LLC
Benita Jean was born in an unexpected place—the wrestling ring.
For a brief but defining chapter of my life, I stepped into the Utah wrestling scene—where presence wasn’t optional, and hesitation got exposed quickly. It wasn’t about being the most technical or the most experienced. It was about showing up fully, owning the space, and committing without apology. Outside of the ring, I was Jeanette. But once I stepped into the ring, I was Benita Jean, fierce and strong-willed.
That same mindset carries into every project. Whether it’s a blank wall or a custom piece, Benita Jean shows up prepared, focused, and ready to execute—start to finish.
